⚠️ Important: The Wellesley Club is a connection service only. We are not a staffing agency, employer, or childcare provider. Once we connect a family with a sitter, all scheduling, supervision, payment, and logistics are handled directly between the two parties. We are not responsible for any incidents, damages, or disputes that occur before, during, or after a match.
Liability & Responsibility
We are a matching and connection platform only. We help families and sitters find each other — that's it. Once a connection is made, everything that follows (scheduling, supervision, payment, safety) is entirely between the family and sitter. We are not liable for any incidents, accidents, disputes, losses, or damages of any kind.
Any issues are the responsibility of the family and sitter involved. We are not a party to any agreement between users. We strongly encourage families to discuss emergency protocols, house rules, and expectations with sitters in advance.
No. We do not employ sitters. Sitters are independent individuals, not employees or contractors of this platform. Families hire sitters directly and all employment-related matters are handled between those two parties.
We do not currently run background checks. Families are responsible for their own vetting. We recommend asking sitters for references before hiring.
Fees & Payment
It's free for the first 10 families to join. After that, there is a small one-time fee if you are matched. Sitters are always free to join.
All payment is made directly between the family and sitter. We do not process, hold, or handle any payments. Common methods include Venmo, Zelle, Cash, and PayPal.
The Babysitters Club is a curated list of available sitters for last-minute date nights and evening coverage. Free to join for sitters. Families get access for free (first 10) or a small one-time fee after that.
How It Works
Submit your profile or listing, we review it and reach out via email or phone with potential matches. Everything after that is between you and the other party directly.
We aim to reach out within 48 hours of receiving your submission. Matching time depends on availability in your area.
